Abtracts:
The paper introduces the process and major function of the Thien Hau Thanh Mau ceremony in Song Doc fishing men community (Ca Mau Province). The process of this ceremony occurs during 22th and 23th of March lunar month, which attracts a lot of local people to join. especially, the owners of fishing boats are catching fish in Song Doc sea, which forms the typical features in the ceremony. on the other hand, the ritual of Thien Hau Thanh Mau here has another function to give the sake in people's psychology when they go out to the sea for fishing as well as it also is the channel for preserving and transferring the traditional cultural values of the local Chinese who is connecting with the other communities.
