Identify Hanoi's elegance in culinary through literary and cultural approach (By surveying the works by authors: Thach Lam, Vu Bang, Nguyen Tuan, Nguyen Ha, Bang Son, Mai Khoi)

Abstract

Foods and drinks in Hanoi have been beautifully featured by many talented writers such as Vu Bang, Thach Lam, Nguyen Tuan, Nguyen Ha, Mai Khoi, Bang Son, etc. From the view of cultural-literary studies, this article analyzes some literary works about foods and drinks in Hanoi to indicate the reflection of time in those writings, the authors’ inspiration and, more importantly, the behavioral culture of Hanoians.
