About The Book A World of Aware and Unaware (Story of Hua)

Abstract

The epic poem A world of aware and unaware is not a Buddhist text, but it conveys Buddhist values to the living beings in a manner familiar to them. It explains Buddhist principles through folk belief and describes the holy religious life and the role of religious people through vivid images. The poem is unlike normal epic poem narrating romance, containing idle words, or serving the entertainment purpose. It differs from literature by lay people, including the famous The Tale of Kieu. It stands between religion and daily life, and serves both of them successfully as intended by its creators.
