Abstract
Nguyen Van Vinh was a prominent figure who had great influence on Vietnamese politics, society, and culture in the early twentieth century. As a translator, he made important contribution to the perception of French literature in Vietnam. This article studies his translation of “The grasshopper and the ant” to point out his contribution to innovating language of translation.
